TURN OUT RULES

If notification of a turn out is given prior to 48hrs before the rodeo the fine is only the entry fee ($20 for non-stock or $30 for stock events).

Any turn out notified or un notified after the 48hr time limit will be fined the entry fee x 2. (for non-stock events $40 and for stock $60)

MEDICAL OUT RULES

Medical turn outs must provide a doctor’s note and contestant will have to medical back in by providing a doctor’s note (unless the first note specifies a date to return to competition) before they will be allowed to compete.
Vet outs require a note from vets.

AHSRA FINALS INFORMATION AND FEES
The Ponoka Youth Sports Initiative Committee would like to congratulate you on qualifying for the AHSRA Provincial Finals held at the Calnash Ag Event Centre in Ponoka Alberta. We are excited for an action packed weekend of competition and wish all contestants and fun safe event. The following is a weekend fee sheet that is required by all contestants coming to the finals.

You must enter for the finals online or at call in times as posted on the AHSRA website. When you arrive at the facility on the weekend of the finals your first stop at the main entrance and sign in and pay fees and get stall assignments if needing stalls.

Wednesday May 29th 4pm-8pm Early Bird Registration 4pm-8pm Marking of barrel, pole and goat patterns by District Event Directors

Thursday May 30th 8am-9pm Early bird registration 9am Performance #1 Cutting followed by Working Cow Horse 4pm Performance #2 Cutting followed by Working Cow Horse 8pm-9pm (or at the end of WCH) Marking of barrel, pole and goat patterns by District Event Directors

Friday May 31st 8am-6pm Trade Show 8-930 Registration and back number pick up. MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE FINALS BY 930AM NO EXCEPTIONS. 930am Mandatory Meeting (ALL CONTESTANTS MUST ATTEND) (with Group Photo to Follow 11pm Rodeo Performance #1 4pm Performance #3 Cutting followed by Working Cow Horse 6pm AHSRA Family Meal Hosted by the Ponoka Legion

Saturday June 1 st 9am Trade show opens 9am Kolten Schmidt and Jeremy Buhler Clinic hosted by Smarty in the main arena –Top two team roping teams from each district are eligible to attend and anyone else is welcome to watch 11 am Rodeo Performance #2 7pm Cowboy Prom located at the Ponoka Legion 9pm-12am Free Contestant Dance at the Tommy Dorchester Paddock at the Ponoka Stampede Grounds.
